DHS Announces New Parole Process for Noncitizen Spouses

On June 18, DHS announced a new process to keep families together, allowing certain noncitizen spouses of U.S. citizens who have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years to apply for parole in place. This policy, starting August 19, 2024, permits eligible spouses to seek lawful permanent residence without leaving the country.
